life is hard
When Everything changed
On December 15, 2018, I lost my dad to stage 4 lung cancer. Suddenly the guy that I called everyday after school and practice that was supposed to guide me through this crazy world was gone. It wasn't until later on that, although difficult to see, this tragedy would prove to be him doing exactly that. Check out the whole story here.

The organization focuses on fundraising for lung and pediatric cancer while proving a space for studentsaffected by cancer to have a community of empathy and hope.
faith and resilience
"remember the love, focus on the love, love is the most important thing"
My dad always told me life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react. Growing up in church there was a choice of blame or reliance on God when I lost him. Leaning on my faith is what I attribute to getting to where I'm at today. There is a verse, Proverbs 3:5-6, that says "Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Leaning on this verse, my faith provided a sense of purpose and hope, even in the darkest moments. It reminds us that we are not alone and encourages us to let go of what we cannot control. Resilience, on the other hand, is the inner strength that allows us to adapt, persevere, and grow through adversity. Together, faith and resilience empower us to face our hardships with courage, find meaning in struggles, and emerge stronger on the other side.
